So far I’m digging the Droid. Some interface things still confuse me, but I’m learning and overall it’s a HUGE improvement over the LG Touch phone I was using.<\/p>\n

\nA To Do list that synchs with Remember the Milk which synchs with Gmail. nice!<\/p>\n
\nSnap a pic of a bardcode on any product, searches google for product description and price comparisons<\/p>\n
\nIt’s a compass. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n
\nSSH\/telnet client on yer phone.<\/p>\n
\nHaven’t really used this yet since it isn’t active in Cincinnati, but I’m ready when it gets here. \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n
\nFTP files to\/from your phone.<\/p>\n
\nViewing google docs on the phone.<\/p>\n
\nTurns your phone into a remote for the PC, play music, videos, etc.<\/p>\n
\nSynchs your Google Voice account with your phone, can make outgoing calls from your GVoice # or just get messages\/vmails<\/p>\n
\nAOL IM client, not too pleased with this one but I haven’t found a good alternative yet.<\/p>\n
\nManage\/view\/use files on the SD card in your phone or local memory though that sounds like you can hose things if you don’t know what you’re doing.<\/p>\n
\nTED Talks on your Droid. yay, I’m a big fan.<\/p>\n
\nNews headlines<\/p>\n
\nPlays a radio station based on your music tastes. LOVE this app.<\/p>\n
\nEdit, crop, touch up photos right on your phone<\/p>\n
\nInstant live vide streaming to the intarnetz. V.cool! Will also auto publish to YouTube and alert your friends on Twitter when you start a live stream if you set it up that way.<\/p>\n
\nTwitter client that works. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n
\nGoogleTalk, all your gmail contacts available for IM<\/p>\n
\nRecord your voice, send the files to Gmail.<\/p>\n
\nFind stuff around you, weather, news, movies, gas stations, coupons, traffic, etc.<\/p>\n
\nScans for wireless networks, occasionally finds networks the phone doesn’t seem to find by default.<\/p>\n
\nGo in camera mode, look out at the world, Wikipedia entries pop up on the screen. First Augmented Reality app I’ve seen actually working on the Droid. You can set the radius around you from 10 miles to 1 mile, floating Wikipedia icons pop up with Wikipedia entries about whatever’s in front of you (that’s listed, of course).<\/p>\n
\nPost to your WordPress blog from your phone.<\/p>\n
